Stafford
 Stafford railway station is located on the West Coast mainline just north of Wolverhampton, there is a big multi storey car park located just to the left of the station on Station Road, with a small over flow car park to the right on Railway Street. £12.50 to park all day, 
Stafford is an open station and has staff that are friendly and tolerant of train enthusiasts. You will get security asking what you are doing, but once they have given you the speech about not going past the signs, they generally leave you alone, please note the signs are not at the end of the platform, but a few meters before, but there is no need to go right to the end of the platforms. The views for photos are good if you are at the North end of the station. 
Plenty of traffic passes through the station, Pendolino's, units and freight. 
Below is a list of the things I saw, I have added some of the older visits I have made here, just so you can see what used to be here in the old days of British Rail. 
It is well worth a few hours at Stafford, lots to see, it is mainly Pendolino's and units. There are a few freight trains to see, roughly 2 per hour.
