D2991, retained as a mobile emergency generator at Eastleigh Works, viewed 23/09/1978, the loco survived and returned to traffic with its BR TOPS number, operated by Knights Rail at Eastleigh Arlington
preserved at the West Somerset Railway in August 1981, the loco now carries BR blue and its BR TOPS number 07010 and can be found at the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton
